The city is beautiful and unique in its own way with steep rolling hills and a mix of modern and old architecture. You can travel around the city by using traditional cable cars and streetcars which is very similar to many European cities. San Francisco is often recognised by the Golden Gate Bridge. The 1.7 miles long bridge was built in 1937 and is the most iconic monument of the city. You may have seen it in films, but viewing it in real life is something else – it’s truly stunning. The former Alcatraz prison is located in San Francisco, and tours are offered for anyone who is curious to enter and see how the prisoners lived before it closed in 1963.

Yosemite national park is a fantastic park located very close to San Francisco center. Enjoy the view of waterfalls, beautiful huge trees, valleys and rare wild animals if you are lucky.
