England is starting to ease restrictions
Updated: May 21, 2021
On Monday the 12th of April, people in England were once again allowed to enjoy some of the things that we have taken for granted.
Below is a list of the changes that took place earlier this week.
*All retail shops can open. Hairdressers, beauty and nail salons are also permitted to do business.
*Bars, pubs and restaurants must be closed indoors, but can serve food and beverage outside. Maximum 6 people can stay together while dining or drinking.
*Hotels, hostels and B&Bs remain closed, but many schools have agreements with host families who can accommodate you.
*Gyms, indoor sports facilities and spas are allowed to reopen once again.
*Theme parks and zoos can be visited in a group of maximum 6 people.
*Libraries and community centres are open.
*Domestic travel is permitted as long as it's minimised and planned in a responsible manner.
By the end of July, all adults in the UK are expected to receive the first dose of vaccination, and hopefully this is a sign that we are getting back to normal very soon.
All language schools are open and there are no signs that they will re-close again for the moment.
If you don't want to travel just yet, you can of course book online English lessons with most of the schools and study from home!
