Destinations:

Montreal:

Montreal was founded in 1642 by French settlers, hence why the official language is French. The majority of the population are English speakers as well, so you don’t have to worry if your French is rusty.

It is one of the oldest cities in Canada and located in the south-eastern province of Quebec. Montreal is one of the cultural centers of North America with plenty of film/radio productions, theaters and performing arts. As you may know, people love Ice Hockey down there and the city proudly owns the NHL team Montreal Canadians. Whether or not you are a fan of the sport, you may be tempted to experience the electric atmosphere inside the Center Bell arena.

If you enjoy shopping, then you cannot visit Montreal without exploring the Underground City which links over 2.000 shops, cinemas, underground stations, offices, universities and performing art venues under a roof. This is a perfect place to spend a cold and rainy day.

Montreal is an ideal destination if you are looking to experience both the North American and European culture at the same time while improving either your French or English in a major international city.

Toronto:

Toronto is the capital of Ontario and the largest city in Canada. With over half of its population born outside of Canada, it is the most diverse and multicultural city in the world. In fact, there are approximately 180 different dialects spoken.

This comes as no surprise when you look at everything that Toronto has to offer. Exciting carnivals, film festivals, a great nightlife, world class shopping, green spaces, and tasty food from all around the world just to name a few examples. The city can also boast of their 3 professional sports teams – Toronto Raptors (NBA), Toronto Blue Jays (MLB) & Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL).

Oh, and did we mention that the stunning Niagara Falls is less than 2 hours away by train or bus?

Toronto has the ability to befriend anyone at any time of the day, and the only question is what your favourite activity will be in this fantastic city.

Vancouver:

Located on the west coast of Canada, Vancouver is a paradise for nature lovers. Climb to the peak of the mountains, walk deep into the forests or sail the Salish Sea. When you need a break from exploring its natural beauty, why not sample some of their famous local delicious seafood?

Vancouver is often considered as one of the most liveable and friendliest cities in the world due to the high quality of life. As a visitor, it’s hard not to notice this when talking to the friendly locals.

The population of Vancouver is considerably smaller than Montreal and Toronto, so expect a calmer and more peaceful environment if you choose to study in this lovely green city.
